Western Atlantic University School of Medicine – Phase I

This campus development project in Freeport, Grand Bahama exemplifies excellence in educational design through a phased approach over a 10-year period, incorporating load-bearing masonry walls and isolated columns. The single-story, 32,000 SF Medical School, integrates two university buildings connected by a breezeway. The first building features a main entrance, Student Services desks, business and administrative offices, conference rooms, a medical support room, and coffee areas. It also incorporates a Center for Academic Success, complete with a reception lobby, library, director's offices, group tutoring rooms, and a study area. The second building includes two 3,050 SF lecture rooms, collaboration spaces, lockers, changing suites, exam rooms, a standardized patient lab, a debriefing suite, and leisure spaces.

Additional structures on the site include a single-story, 18,600 SF Medical Tourism Building, equipped with 134 parking spaces, further expanding the campus's capabilities.
