Town of Cutler Bay Legacy Park

Legacy Park is a 16-acre development with three 2-story buildings: a 10,000 GSF Town Hall, a 10,000 GSF Police Station, and a 15,000 GSF Community Center. The Town Hall houses key municipal departments, including planning and zoning, public works, human resources, and finance, along with council chambers and private offices. The Police Station features a glassy double-height entry lobby, prisoner processing and sally port areas, a training room, evidence holding areas, an operations center, fingerprint room, interview room, investigation unit, and neighborhood resource unit. These facilities are supported by surface parking spaces and a 3-level, 300-space parking garage. Recreational highlights include a pool deck with a 25m x 25 yd swimming pool, a smaller learning pool, and a 1,500 GSF pool support building. Additional amenities incorporate a 1-story central pond overlook structure, walking paths, and a 2,500 GSF Event Pavilion designed as an amphitheater for performances and gatherings. Strategically placed canopies provide shade at the Event Pavilion, Arrival Garden, and pathways linking the Town Hall and Police Station. Signature arrival signage, an interactive fountain, and community gardens enhance the park’s appeal. The design foundations for the Community Gateway, covered pedestrian pathways, and shaded garden structures were provided by BNI.
