Nova Southeastern University Center of Excellence for Coral Reef Ecosystems Science Research Facility (Design/Build)

Located on the coast of South Florida with easy access to coral reefs, the Center of Excellence for Coral Reef Ecosystem Science at Nova Southeastern University is the only research facility in the U.S. dedicated to this line of research. The 5-story, 87,000 SF research facility features wet labs for microbiology and genomics, dry labs, collaboration spaces, offices, a 100-seat auditorium, as well as an innovative seawater plant that distributes a continually circulating supply of seawater to the entire building. This Oceanographic Center has been awarded LEED® Silver certification. A fast-track, design-build delivery process achieved the required opening date with a total design and construction period of 18 months.
