McKinney Temple

The McKinney Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a 3-story, 30,000 SF religious assembly building. The temple is framed using a composite metal deck supported by structural steel beams, columns, and braced frames, with drilled shaft foundations.

The first and second floors include baptistry, instruction rooms, celestial and sealing rooms, administration areas, dressing rooms, and waiting spaces. A 7,260 SF mezzanine provides additional space for worship and community functions. A 150-foot spire serves as a defining feature of the design. The temple also incorporates basement level housing the baptismal font and related equipment, as well as a third-floor mechanical area. Beyond the main temple, the site includes separate ancillary structures to house mechanical and electrical equipment, such as a cooling tower, transformer, and generator. Additional site enhancements include light poles, a monument sign, and a waste enclosure.
