Gulliver, a renowned college preparatory day school, serves grades PreK3-8 at this campus. This project created a 61,000-SF student union, visitor lobby and Gymnatorium – a space for athletics, fine arts and large gatherings. The student union provides a 420-seat dining room plus space for debates, speeches, plays, musicals, and concerts. A large folding wall divides the room in half to allow for two simultaneous functions. A grand “social stair” features dozens of gathering spaces to foster socializing and small group study sessions outside of formal classrooms. The Gymnatorium has seating capacity for 800 to 1,200 in bleachers and loose seats. Its theatre/stage portion is equipped with modern production facilities to accommodate a rich range of performing arts.
