This 2-story, 19,800 SF Fire Station serves as a centralized hub for the Oakland Park Fire Rescue Department. The facility includes a three-bay garage designed for rapid emergency response. The first floor is comprised of a Lobby, Training Room, Command Center, Computer Room, Gym, Dayroom Kitchen/ Dining, EMS Treatment, Bunk Rooms, Laundry Room, Decontamination Quarters, and various Gear/ Storage areas. The decontamination zone allows firefighters to remove hazardous soot, reducing health risks. The second floor includes Fire Administration Offices, Fire and EMS Supply Storage, Records Storage, Secured Storage, Fire Prevention Area, Meeting Rooms, and a Library/ Plans Review Area. Site improvements include public restrooms for the adjacent park, on-street parking, and signal enhancements to improve traffic flow along Park Lane East and NE 6th Avenue.
