The 72,000 seat NFL stadium with 137 private suites, completed in June 1996, was designed and built for the NFL's Carolina Panthers expansion team. The design features black architectural precast concrete panels creating spectacular archways and towers with lighted domes at each of the main entrances. Cast-in-place concrete beams and columns provide lateral bracing and support for the precast double tee floor framing system. The stadium is supported on caissons.
