Scarface Building turned into CVS Pharmacy in this project! The famous chainsaw scene was filmed upstairs in the existing building. Although much of the structure was demolished to create a new two-story CVS Pharmacy, the 1953 Art Deco front façade was saved and reinforced to meet new building codes. Being on Ocean Drive, the building is in a Flood Hazard Area and where the Coastal Construction Control Line (CCCL) passes through the property requiring additional requirement for frangible walls and breakaway slab.
